Video projection Of Are We There Yet (apres 40ans) (2008), Photograph & Urinal.
Exhibited at 1968: Impact and Implications Conference in collaboration with Birkbeck Institute for Social Research 3rd - 4th July 2008 Birkbeck, University of London.
The conference was timed to coincide with the fortieth anniversary of May 1968, and included Charlotte 1968 a work by Nina Wakeford.
I travelled from the Paris home of Marcel Duchamp (he died there in 1968) to Birkbeck College, London. I carried a urinal wrapped in bubble wrap. The resulting film is over 5hrs long and was projected in the foyer during the conference.
The urinal was installed in the Ladies Toilets where it collected messages from the public. A photograph taken at the end of the journey, standing outside the venue hung in the window.
